Greetings from “The Faraway Land”! Our dear Adrian has started to get the ball rolling…So now I guess it’s my turn. I have a love-hate relationship with d.e.s.s.e.r.t.s – they are so delectable, lovely and versatile; yet too much of it can make you feel fat. Hence, in order to not have the whole cake to myself, I have decided to share it….*wide grins*.
I started loving to bake when I was preparing to go into college. Cookies and simple cakes make great gifts and can bring a smile to your loved ones. University life wasn’t that exciting (with regards to baking of course)…Then comes the fun part: Student Exchange Programme in the UK! Whee..I seriously do miss UK. Started experimenting on a few cakes there too. Met beautiful and lovely people from the wonderful church, NCLC (Newcastle Christian Life Centre). (Psst, Mark and Isobel! I miss your cooking and baking! I miss you all at Life Group! xx)
I digress..I met the lovely Cherry in “the faraway land” and we shared common interest in baking, food, tv, shopping etc. What’s more she’s also a fellow “SEP-er” (if there’s such a term hah)! Cool beans. Right, together with my classmate, Adrian…we’ve decided to start this little business venture, a teeny weeny step closer to our bigger dream – to open a cafe!
Alright, I guess I’ve blabbered enough. Lunch beckons…precious lunch break. Signing off now…
Cheerios,
SZ with love (oh yes, for all those who don’t know, I have gone for water baptism and Claire is now my Christian name – need to get used to this…)
